How does one sum up their soul kitty in just a few mere words? How do I begin to tell about the way my sweet Bengal boy Tsing Tao lights up my whole day? I guess I just did!

Tao came home to me at the tender age of five months and we became soulmates shortly after. I'm not talking the mutual respect that most humans feel with the cats they cohabitate with... I'm talking pure, unconditional and total love. I smile just thinking about him. It's the way he gets a happy gurgling purr in his voice when he greets me after a day at work... the way I ask for a kiss and get a big headbutt in return with affectionate gusto... the way he velcros himself to my side when its bedtime... the way that no matter where he is in the house, he comes running when I call him... the way he tells me stories in his funny little meow and makes me laugh... the way he has such depth to his personality that so clearly speaks of his high intelligence. He is a gentle, affectionate, sensitive little soul and I can't imagine my life without him now. He IS my soul kitty. I attribute a good deal of his amazing personality to his breeder, Karen, and the way she raises her cats.

I believe that Tao became who he is today under the wonderful care, encouragement and attention that Karen showers her cats with. From the moment we began correspondence, I very strongly got the impression that breeding cats isn't just a hobby for Karen... these cats mean a good deal to her and she cares for them with a degree of respect that I find quite rare in professional breeders of this day and age. That may not mean much to you until you take into account that I am also a professional breeder and work with breeders around the world on a daily basis.

Karen cares about her cats beyond their physical health where many other breeders leave off... she cares whether they are emotionally healthy and does whatever she can to ensure that they are at their happiest and healthiest on many different levels. She very carefully screens her potential new owners to ensure that they will provide the same high standards of care that she would. Karen is well educated on the breed and in feline husbandry and it is apparent that she works very hard to ensure that the bloodlines she works with are not only beautiful and an improvement to the breed on an aesthetic level... but they are of sound genetic health as well. All of these things are of great importance to me and I am ecstatic to find someone with such similar philosophies.

I am blessed to have met Karen and even more so to have brought one of her babies home. Someday soon Tao will begin producing wonderful babies for me and I only hope that I can live up to the wonderful example Karen has set for me.
